On August 17, 2024, Kirana Musi Persada celebrated the 79th Indonesian Independence Day with a series of engaging activities, reinforcing a sense of nationalism and community among the staff. Held at the company’s facility, the day was marked with a flag ceremony and various contests such as Mobile Legends, musical chairs, balloon dance, table tennis, cheerful futsal, marble racing, singing, arm wrestling, and more, creating a festive atmosphere for all.
In addition to the fun, a scholarship program was highlighted as part of the celebration, aimed at acknowledging and supporting the educational pursuits of employees' children who have shown outstanding academic achievements. The scholarships were personally awarded by the management on the factory grounds, affirming the company’s commitment to its corporate social responsibility.
The event saw full participation from the company's management, including the Operations Director, Managers, and staff across all shifts, as well as the parents of the scholarship recipients. Notably, 30 children, comprising 15 elementary students, 10 junior high students, 10 high school students, and 5 university students, were recognized during the ceremony.
The flag ceremony was particularly poignant, with Mr. Frans Kurniawan, serving as the ceremony inspector, delivering a speech that called upon all employees to embody the spirit of the national heroes and continue their legacy by contributing to the nation’s progress. He emphasized the importance of unity, vigilance, and patriotism grounded in the values established during the proclamation of independence on August 17, 1945.
As the day concluded with the awarding of scholarships and the announcement of competition winners and door prizes, the atmosphere remained orderly and spirited, reflecting the employees' enthusiasm for the national celebration and the community-building activities orchestrated by Kirana Musi Persada. Mrs. Juan Wijaya Marbun, Factory Manager, expressed hope that the scholarship program would inspire the children of employees to achieve educational excellence.
The event not only celebrated independence but also strengthened the bonds within the Kirana Musi Persada family, echoing the company’s ongoing dedication to its people and the broader Indonesian community.
